Tammy Slaton has come a long way.
The 1000- Lb. Sisters star, who has detailed her weight loss journey with sister Amy Slaton on the TLC show since 2020, looked back at where she started in the latest episode of the series.
“I’m down 500 pounds now, around 500,” Tammy said in a confessional of the April 15 episode. “When I was at my heaviest, I was 700-plus pounds. Right now, I’m weighing in at 238.”
And the 38-year-old admitted that it has been surprising for her to surpass her sister’s 176-pound weight loss.
“Everyone is telling me I look smaller than Amy,” Tammy explained. “That’s kind of hard to believe.”
She joked, referencing the viral Jools LeBron TikTok, that being perceived as smaller than her sister makes her feel “so demure, so mindful, so cutesy.”
As she put it, “I can’t believe I did that.”
Indeed, Tammy—who recently confirmed she is in a new relationship with a woman following the death of her husband Caleb Willingham—had previously reflected on just how far she has come.
And when the reality star—who underwent bariatric surgery in 2022—was clocking in at around 303 pounds in 2024, her doctor said her progress was “unbelievable.”
“Tammy has consistently demonstrated her dedication to making sustainable lifestyle changes to maximize the benefits of her surgery,” he told People in October. “I’ve emphasized the importance of making small, daily adjustments to ensure not only her continued progress but also her long-term success. She’s truly committed to her health journey.”
But despite her successful weight loss journey, Tammy has shared a new struggle that has come with her success as she awaits to undergo skin removal surgery.
“Now I have even more insecurities about my body because I have so much loose skin,” Tammy explained on an episode of 1000- Lb. Sisters last month. “I’ve been waiting to hear that I can get my skin removal for so long. When I get rid of the skin, I’m going to be a brand-new me. Better. I’m going to become a model and walk the catwalk.”

Sharing Her Journey
