Vanessa Hudgens is soarin’, flyin’ on Oscars night.
Eight months after welcoming her first baby with husband Cole Tucker, the High School Musical alum and the baseball player enjoyed a romantic date night at Vanity Fair’s March 3 party celebrating the 2025 Academy Awards. For her first red carpet appearance since becoming a mom, Vanessa donned a black, one-shoulder gown by Dolce & Gabbana featuring feather embellishments and a high slit. She paired the glamorous look with matching platform heels and Zales drop earrings.
As for glam? Vanessa rocked a metallic manicure by Zola Ganzorigt using OPI polish and Almay makeup.
Meanwhile, Cole coordinated with her monochromatic ‘fit with an all-black suit from Dolce & Gabbana.
The couple’s outing comes one year after Vanessa announced her pregnancy at the 2024 Oscars. Then clad in a black, figure-hugging Vera Wang gown, Vanessa proudly showed off her baby bump while hosting ABC’s The Oscars Red Carpet Show.
And after interviewing nominees, the Sucker Punch actress changed into a sheer, off-shoulder dress custom designed by Alberta Ferretti for that year’s Vanity Fair after-party.
So, what has motherhood been like for Vanessa? For one, her personal style has evolved.
“It’s so funny because I used to be so about dressing up and themes every moment I could get,” she told E! News in November. “The older that I get, the more practical I get.”
Vanessa continued, “Life is chaotic and hectic. I don’t need to make it any more stressful than it needs to be. So, I keep things cozy.”
And with a newborn—whose name has not publicly revealed—at home, the 36-year-old explained of her new approach to fashion, “It really is about what works for you that day and having grace for yourself because it will change.”
