While the 2025 Oscar nominees will be celebrating the big night with their castmates from the big screen, many will also be soaking in the major moment with their costars in real life—their partners.
For instance, Kieran Culkin arrived at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on March 2 with his wife Jazz Charton. The A Real Pain star—who is nominated in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role category—suited up in a black tuxedo while his wife dazzled in a strapless, metallic gown. In addition, Edward Norton—who is up in the same group for his performance in A Complete Unknown—attended the ceremony with his wife Shauna Robertson, with him rocking a classic tux and her sparkling in a silver, semi-sheer gown (see all the red carpet fashion here).
And whether they win or lose, the nominees can surely count on the support from their loved ones.
As for which films are in the running this evening, Emilia Pérez leads the pack with 13 nods (although, the movie’s star Karla Sofía Gascón has faced backlash in recent weeks following the resurfacing of some of her offensive tweets). Following closely behind are The Brutalist and Wicked with 10 nominations apiece as well as Conclave and A Complete Unknown with eight each. These films as well as Anora, Dune: Part Two, I’m Still Here, The Substance and Nickel Boys are all in the running for the top trophy: Best Picture (keep up with all the winners throughout the ceremony with this list).
In addition to the fashion and the awards, there will be plenty of star-studded performances as Doja Cat, Blackpink’s LISA, Queen Latifah, RAYE and this year’s Oscar nominees from Wicked Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are all set to take the stage. And fans will just have to wait and see what Conan O’Brien has in store as host.
“We’ve been working really hard,” he said on the Feb. 26 episode of Good Morning America. “I have an amazing team of writers. We have been going through tons of ideas, and I’m excited because I grew up watching the Oscars and it is something that’s imprinted on my memory.”
