Wilmer Valderrama is having a very good day.
The That ‘70s Show alum and fiancée Amanda Pacheco announced they are expecting their second baby this summer—and no one is more excited than the couple’s daughter Nakano Oceana.
“She’s been manifesting this for months,” the model told People in an interview published Feb. 27, “before I found out I was even pregnant!”
The 4-year-old has already played a big role in preparing for the new arrival, starting with delivering the results of her mom’s pregnancy test.
“She read it to Wilmer and I,” Amanda, 34, continued, “and she has been shouting it from the mountaintops to every person who comes in her path: ‘I’m going to be a big sister!’”
And the NCIS star—who proposed to Amanda in January 2020 after the two were first romantically linked a few months prior—welcomes his daughter’s involvement in the process wholeheartedly.
“We want her to feel such a part of this moment,” Wilmer, 45, explained, “so when the baby gets here she knows this is a moment for her too.”
In fact, Nakano has already been vocal about all her hopes for the new arrival.
“We still don’t know the gender of the baby,” Amanda pointed out, “but if it was up to her, she’d love to have a baby sister.”
As for Wilmer—who previously dated Mandy Moore, Lindsay Lohan and Demi Lovato—the actor may have a bit of a bias too, as he added that “being a girl dad has been the most fulfilling feeling.”
Last year, Wilmer reflected on being a parent in a touching Father’s Day message where he described being a dad as “one of the most evolutionary moments in life.”
“It’s like the matrix, as soon as you hold your child for the first time, something else uploads,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “Something that has been in you, waiting to engage, to give you instincts and foresights you didn’t expect was in you.. no book or person can describe what happens to your heart.”
