Andrew Garfield’s rumored new love interest isn’t exactly unknown.
The We Live In Time actor sparked dating speculation during a recent outing with A Complete Unknown star Monica Barbaro in London, where the two attended a performance of Jonathan Bailey’s West End play Richard II.
In a video shared on X (former Twitter) Feb. 19, Andrew, 41, kept things lowkey in a dark hoodie and maroon ball cap as he chatted with Monica, 34, who sat next to him for the play. The actress—whose performance in the Bob Dylan biopic earned her an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress—also opted for a casual look, wearing a blue baseball hat and light gray jacket.
It’s not the first time the pair have enjoyed each other’s company at a recent event. In January, they attended a W Magazine party together at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, posing for photos with Andrew’s longtime pal Eddie Redmayne as well as journalist Lynn Hirschberg.
E! News has reached out to Andrew and Monica’s reps for comment but has not heard back.
The Tick, Tick… Boom! star previously dated his Amazing Spider-Man costar Emma Stone from 2011 to 2015, though the two have remained friendly in the years since their breakup. They even shared a sweet reunion at the 2025 Golden Globes, where they chatted on the red carpet.
More recently, Andrew was linked to University of Oxford doctoral graduate Kate Tomas, who confirmed their breakup in October. When a social media user asked if she was dating the actor in a comment on her Instagram page, she wrote back, “We broke up months ago but I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved.”
But despite his dating in the public eye, Andrew has been firm about his desire to maintain his privacy. In an October interview with Esquire, he declared, “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever.”
