Denise Richards’ daughters aren’t losing any sleep over their mom’s OnlyFans account.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been embracing a side hustle that she’s found to be “quite lucrative.” And while not everyone is fully accepting of the content she posts on the adult subscription platform, her daughters Sami Sheen, 20, and Lola Sheen, 19—whom she shares with ex Charlie Sheen—as well as her and Aaron Phyphers’ daughter Eloise Richards, 13, are fully on board.
In fact, her oldest was her inspiration for creating the account in the first place.
“At first, I didn’t understand what OnlyFans was,” Denise told People in an interview published Feb. 19. “When I saw that she was getting backlash for owning her sexuality and doing what she wanted to do, it upset me as a mom and also as a woman in business.”
So, just days after then 18-year-old Sami created her account in 2022, the 54-year-old embarked on her own OnlyFans journey. And while the mother-daughter duo is mutually supportive of each other’s endeavors, Sami’s only qualm was the timing of it all.
“I wish she’d waited a bit because she started it right after me but it doesn’t bother me,” Sami said in the joint interview, to which Lola added, “Whatever makes her happy.”
But back in October 2023, Denise raised eyebrows with a since-deleted post that asked fans whether she should “do another collaboration soon” with her oldest daughter. And despite the backlash, four months went by before the Playboy model clarified what she truly meant in her post.
“They’re so judgmental to me and people are like, ‘How can you do this? Your daughter,'” Denise said on a February 2024 episode of Nick Viall‘s The Viall Files podcast. “I didn’t collaborate with my daughter.”
“Did I do a picture with my daughter’s face and I that was on social media? Yes,” she continued. “Did I collaborate with my daughter for like a sexual OnlyFans shoot? Abso-f–king-lutely not. That is not true. I haven’t even been on my daughter’s site. I was protecting her as a young woman coming into this industry, being judged.”
And even before the misunderstanding, Denise had to defend her decision to join OnlyFans time and time again.
“My daughter got a lot of backlash for opening the account,” the Wild Things actress said in a 2022 interview with KTLA. “I had heard of OnlyFans but I wasn’t educated on what OnlyFans was and once I started to learn about it, I really think that the creators of the site really took the best of every platform of social media and put it into one site. You own your content. The other sites, they can sell your content.”
After all, she pointed out that she, along with many others, would be posting the same content elsewhere if the platform didn’t exist.
“We all post pictures with ourselves with bathing suits on Instagram and some of the other sites,” she noted, “there’s no difference other than you actually own the content.”
