Super Bowl: Tom Brady Trolls Kevin Hart After Gisele Bündchen Roast Joke

Watch:Tom Brady Trolls Kevin Hart During Super Bowl 2025 Broadcast After Netflix Roast

Tom Brady was out for revenge at the Super Bowl.

The former New England Patriots quarterback, who served as an announcer on Fox’s broadcast of the Feb. 9 face-off between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles—the Eagles won the Vince Lombardi trophy—took the opportunity to jokingly get back at his friend Kevin Hart for roasting him during Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.

“Kevin Hart’s here,” Tom told his fellow commentator Kevin Burkhardt, making a dig at the comedian’s 5-foot-5 height. “How do the cameras find Kevin Hart?”

Tom’s dig comes nine months after the Central Intelligence actor came at him pretty hard last May, making ruthless jokes about his divorce from Gisele Bündchen—with whom he shares kids Benjamin Rein, 14, and Vivial Lake, 11—while hosting the Netflix special.

“Gisele gave you an ultimatum,” Kevin said during the May roast. “She said you have to retire or you’re done. But when you have a chance to go 8-9 you gotta do it.”

But rest assured, there is no bad blood between these two.

“Kevin, I love you,” the 47-year-old added during the Feb. 9 broadcast. “You took so many shots at me in May. I’m coming right at you.”

Even so, not long after the roast session was released, the retired NFL star did admit that he regretted doing it in the first place.

“I loved when the jokes were about me, I thought they were so fun,” Tom explained in an episode of Pivot Podcast at the time. “I didn’t like the way that affected my kids.”

“It’s the hardest part,” he continued, “the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way, and then all of a sudden you realize, ‘I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.’”

Nonetheless, the Patriots Hall of Famer expressed his appreciation for “laughing in the locker room,” and saw the experience, which he added was fun in the moment, as something to learn from.

“You just don’t see the full picture all the time,” he noted. “I think it’s a good lesson for me as a parent. I’m going to be a better parent as I go forward because of it, and at the same time, I’m happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun.”

Kevin, on the other hand, believed the special had an impact on something much bigger than them.

“What it did for comedy and our climate of sensitivity,” the 45-year-old told The Bleacher Report in July, “I think it was necessary and valuable.”

But despite uplifting the comics that “got an opportunity to show what makes them special,” Kevin empathized with Tom and vowed to avoid talking about “something crazy that they don’t want” in any future roasts.

“I can side with Tom and see where he’s coming from,” he added, “just him wanting to protect the idea of family and the conversation attached to that.”
