Hulu’s upcoming limited series Count My Lies continues to assemble a high-profile cast.
The latest addition to the drama is Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, who will play a lead role opposite Lindsay Lohan and Shailene Woodley. He’ll play Jay Lockhart, half of a “gorgeous and charismatic” married couple in New York and husband to Violet (Lohan).
Count My Lies is based on a novel by Sophie Stava and is being adapted by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us, How I Met Your Father). The logline reads, “When compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet and Jay Lockhart, it seems she’s finally landed her dream job. But little does Sloane know, she’s just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for all.”
Hulu picked up the series in August after several months of development. Count My Lies comes from 20th Television, where Aptaker and Berger have an overall deal. Aptaker and Berger are the showrunners and executive produce via their Walk-Up Company. Lohan, Woodley, director Antonio Campos and The Walk-Up Company’s Scott Morgan also executive produce.
Harington is coming off Apple’s feature film The Family Plan 2 and will next be seen in season four of HBO’s Industry, which premieres in January; he’ll be a series regular on the show after recurring in season three. Other recent credits include Netflix’s Too Much and the 2024 feature The Beast Within. Harington is repped by CAA, United Agents, Shafran PR and attorney Karl Austen.
