Jen Affleck thinks Ben Affleck’s daughter is simply sweet.
After the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star and The Accountant actor worked together for their Dunkin Donuts ad, she reflected on the process, noting she hit it off with one of Ben’s kids.
“It was very lighthearted,” Jen, who played the “value Affleck” in the ad, explained during the Sept. 16 Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “We just like, laughed about it.”
And while Jen may have been the self-proclaimed less famous Affleck in the ad, she admitted that one of Ben’s kids—he shares Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13 with ex Jennifer Garner—thought she was a really big deal.
“His daughter came with her best friend and—huge fan,” Jen, who did not specify Ben’s daughter by name, explained. “She’s like, ‘I don’t care if we’re not related. We are related.’ I was like, ‘Great!’”
The 26-year-old—who shares kids Nora, 3, Lucas, 2 and Penelope, 3 months, with husband Zac Affleck—admitted even the Good Will Hunting alum was overly gracious.
“He was like, ‘Thank you for doing this,’” she added of Ben. “I’m like, ‘What do you mean thank you for doing this?’ I’m like, ‘Thank you.’”
Meanwhile, Jen also cleared up why she was once so convinced that she was actually family to Ben, noting that her husband was just as convinced.
“It genuinely was told to him and all of his siblings by his grandpa,” she explained. “Like, that was a real thing. Everyone believed it.”
Jen noted that many detractors thought she was lying about believing the rumor herself, calling her, “calculated.”
“No,” she clarified. “It’s me not being calculated is what gets me in trouble. And what leads to crazy stuff like this.”
Indeed, while Jen’s Dunkin opportunity was brought by the rumor, she previously told Us Weekly she was “shocked” to find out it wasn’t true.
Family or not, Jen did manifest eventually running into the Gone Girl star. As she said during a 2024 episode of Mormon Wives, when she still believed the rumor, “Hopefully we meet him sometime soon.”
