Mandy Moore has lined up her next series project, an erotic thriller in the works at Peacock.

Moore (This Is Us, Dr. Death) is set to star in and executive produce Teach Me, which centers on the relationship between a teacher and student. The project, which is in development at Peacock, comes from creator Lisa Rubin (Netflix’s Gypsy), A24, Universal Television and Jessica Rhoades’ Pacesetter Productions (Sharp Objects, Peacock’s upcoming Ponies).

The logline for Teach Me describes it as “an ongoing erotic thriller about a teacher wielding power over an impressionable but unreliable student, and what happens when that student becomes the teacher. A fun, twisted cat-and-mouse game that explores the blurred lines between sex, power and addiction.”

Rubin is writing the drama and will executive produce with Moore and Pacesetter’s Rhoades and Alison Mo Massey.

Moore is currently working on This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman’s NFL drama at Hulu, where she plays the daughter of a team owner (William H. Macy) and heir apparent to the franchise. She earned an Emmy nod for her work on This Is Us; other recent credits include the second season of Peacock’s anthology Dr. Death and voice work on Prime Video’s animated series #1 Happy Family USA.

Rubin created the Netflix drama Gypsy, starring Naomi Watts. On the feature side, she adapted Liv Constantine’s novel The Last Mrs. Parrish, which is set to be a Netflix film starring Jennifer Lopez, and has penned a Janis Joplin biopic that’s set to star Shailene Woodley.

Via Pacesetter, Rhoades executive produced the two most recent seasons of Netflix’s Black Mirror and is behind creator Charlie Brooker’s next series for the streamer. The company also produced HBO’s Sharp Objects and season two of Dirty John, among others.

Moore is repped by Gersh, Untitled Entertainment and Johnson Shapiro. Rubin is repped by UTA and Hansen Jacobson. Rhoades and Pacesetter are with UTA and attorney Adam G. Cooper at Jackoway Austen.
