Mikayla Nogueira is entering a new era.
The TikToker unveiled a new hair look for the first time in over a decade, revealing that she traded her usual black hue for a chestnut brown color.
In a video shared to TIkTok Aug. 26, Mikayla—wearing a simple blank tank top and tan baseball hat—showed off her old color while sitting in her car outside of the salon.
“I have had black hair for well over 10 years,” she said in the clip. “I’m just over it. I’m ready to try something new.”
The content creator went on to document her stylist’s process of changing her hair through a montage, where she got her locks bleached and glossed with two warm brown colors before adding in extensions that seamlessly wove in with the new hues.
“She custom blended three different tones to get the perfect look,” Mikayla said of her transformation. “I think this color is stunning. It’s so different from the jet black I do.”
Noting that her appearance is now “so different than anything I’m used to,” the 27-year-old emphasized, “I don’t have black hair anymore.”
And time has only made Mikayla’s heart grow fonder of the look. In a separate TikTok video, the influencer reflected on how she was feeling about the transformation while getting ready for a Tate McRae concert.
“I’m sorry, but the brunette hair—I just feel like a different person in a good way,” Mikayla shared. “I feel like it looks insanely good on me to the extent where I feel like I could actually have this hair for the long haul.”
She added, “I’ve tried different hair colors and then eventually go back to black, but I don’t feel that way with this.”
Of course, Mikayla has been making other changes to her appearance as of late as well. Back in January, she revealed that she had lost 60 pounds in her weight loss journey, which she’s credited to a “calorie deficit” diet and “making better food choices.”
In fact, the difference in her figure has been such an adjustment, Mikayla—who tied the knot with husband Cody Hawken in 2023—shared that she needed to get her wedding rings resized.
“Because I lost 60 pounds, this ring is now humungous on me,” she said in a Jan. 28 TikTok, “and I either need to get it resized or a new ring perhaps, because it’s too big.”
