The Cinema Audio Society (CAS) has announced its nominations in seven categories for the 2026 annual CAS Awards for outstanding achievement in sound mixing.
Sound mixers on F1: The Movie, Frankenstein, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, One Battle After Another Sinners, Elio and Kpop Demon Hunters are among the nominees this year.
This year’s awards will be held on March 7 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. It was previously announced that Academy Award-winning re-recording mixer Skip Lievsay CAS (Gravity, No Country for Old Men, Roma) will be honored with the CAS Career Achievement Award, while filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Frankenstein) will receive the Filmmaker Award.
“2025 showcased an extraordinary range, ambition, and artistry across the sound community,” says CAS President Peter Kurland. “From intimate character-driven stories to large-scale spectacles, this year’s nominees demonstrate the impact of outstanding sound mixing across film and television. Their work continues to push the craft forward, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.”
