Derek Hough wants to remember all the steps of Hayley Erbert‘s pregnancy journey.
Two months after the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together, the Dancing With the Stars judge showed off his wife of two years’ growing baby bump in a heart-melting video.
In the clip posted to Instagram Sept. 15, Hayley, 30, walked through a field of grass at golden hour while rocking a gorgeous Champagne-colored slip dress and heels. At one point, she stopped and turned to face the camera while cupping her pregnancy belly. And in a second video, she struck a similar pose while donning a jaw-dropping red midi dress before wrapping her arms around Derek, 40, to smile for a selfie.
Captioning the sweet footage, Derek wrote, “That’s my babie’S.”
Back in July, the pair—who tied the knot in 2023 following eight years of dating—revealed that they were gearing up to welcome a new addition to their family.
“We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us,” Hayley wrote alongside an Instagram Reel that showed their baby’s sonogram, “could be so small.”
The exciting news arrived over a year after a challenging health battle for Hayley, who was hospitalized in December 2023 after becoming “disoriented” during a performance in Washington, D.C., on her and Derek’s joint Symphony of Dance tour. She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma and underwent a craniectomy shortly after, ultimately returning to the stage in April 2024.
And while the experience was really scary, Derek has gotten candid about how it strengthened their bond as a couple in the end.
“After three months of getting married, it was like, ‘Oh, we’re putting those vows to the test real fast,’” he told E! News in March. “But it’s been wonderful. It’s beautiful. We’ve had an extraordinary year of triumph, of challenge and we’re here having a good time.”
He added, “We were just being grateful every day. There’s so much to be grateful for.”

October 2024: Road to Recovery
After being given medical clearance to get back to performing, Hayley and Derek resumed their Symphony of Dance tour in April 2024. In October, she made her triumphant return to the ballroom as she joined her husband for an emotional routine set to Benson Boone‘s “Beautiful Things.”

The couple announced they’d be welcoming a new addition to their family as they revealed they were expecting their first baby together. Alongside an Instagram video unveiling their unborn child’s sonogram, Hayley wrote, “We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small.”
