Kristen Bell to Return as Host of SAG Actor Awards

Kristen Bell will return as host of the 2026 Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA (formerly known as the SAG Awards), set to air on March 1.

“I’ve enjoyed hosting the show every time, so it was an easy decision to come back for a third,” Bell said in a news release. “What I’m most excited for is the fact that I’ll be doing what every actor does best…sing :)”

The Nobody Wants This actress hosted last year’s awards ceremony and began her opening monologue with a song that was a bit of an homage to the actor’s journey, asking the audience, “Do you want to be an actor?” to the tune of Frozen‘s “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” — in which Bell voiced the character of Anna — as photos of stars such as Timothée Chalamet, Harrison Ford and Selena Gomez in their first acting projects flashed across the screen. In 2018, Bell also served as the first-ever host of the Actor Awards since its inception in 1995. The following year, Megan Mullally took over hosting duties. Yet after the 1996 ceremony, the awards wouldn’t have another host until Bell’s return in 2025.

“Kristen Bell knows this show, she knows this community and she knows how to keep everyone entertained and laughing without ever losing the heart of the night,” Jon Brockett, showrunner and executive producer for the Actor Awards, said in the news release. “Having Kristen return to host feels like welcoming back a member of the family. One you actually want to hang out with.”

One Battle After Another currently leads film nominations for the Actor Awards with seven; Sinners trailing close behind with a total of five noms. On the television side, The Studio is in first place with five nods, followed by Adolescence and The White Lotus with four each.

The 32nd annual Actor Awards will stream live on Netflix Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall.

Silent House Productions will return to produce the ceremony, with Brockett serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Silent House Productions’ Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, who will serve also serve as EPs.
