Alexandra Madison is getting ready to meet the apple of her eye.
As the TikToker prepares to welcome her and husband Jon Bouffard‘s baby girl this autumn, she reflected on her bittersweet pregnancy journey one year after experiencing the stillbirth of their son.
“Pregnancy after loss has been such a complicated experience, between excitement, fear, doubt and hope,” Alexandra told E! News in an exclusive interview. “It’s the range of emotions. The challenging part in these last weeks—because we were hesitant and cautiously optimistic—we waited until the last minute to do everything.”
“So now, we’re just in crunch time,” she continued. “We’re throwing everything in all at once, trying to prep for her nursery, actually get ready for her arrival.”
The 33-year-old—who tied the knot with Jon, 38, in 2019—admitted that she continued to brace for tragedy this time after enduring the June 2024 pregnancy loss at 26 weeks.
“It’s hard because there’s the part of my brain that is like, ‘Well, don’t get too prepared, or don’t get too excited,'” she explained. “After loss, you learn the very hard truth that there are no guarantees, but you still want to allow yourself to feel some excitement. It’s just been this back-and-forth pull of get excited, get prepared, but not too much.”
Alexandra—who rose to fame on social media with Jon for their comedic husband-wife sketches—said that she’s ready for their daughter to arrive so she can “breathe a sigh of relief.”
With her and Jon’s baby girl arriving as the leaves start changing colors, the couple can’t wait to experience autumn as new parents.
“We’re excited to just bundle up, grab our coffees, go to the pumpkin patch, take photos,” she gushed, “to walk around with the leaves falling in this cool, crispy fall weather, and just kiss her toes. That’s really what we’re looking forward to.”
And although Alexandra and Jon plan to take their little one to the pumpkin patch this year, she emphasized that they plan to “leave the pumpkins as is.”
After all, the content creator is partnering with Sonic Drive-In for the new salted caramel toffee iced coffee to give the gourds some respite this season.
“I have loved pumpkin spice things my entire life, but when you walk into a store, it almost feels like overkill,” Alexandra explained. “Everything is pumpkin flavored, from hand soaps to lotions to crackers to cookies to coffees. It just feels a bit much. When Sonic came out with this new fall flavor, I was like, ‘Finally something!'”
She added that she and Jon loved that the fast-food chain introduced the cold brew coffee—which is layered with salted caramel and toffee and topped with cold foam and salted toffee pieces—to “save the pumpkins.”
“This is such a great concept because pumpkins deserve a break,” she teased. “They’ve been through enough. We need to expand our creative palettes to different fall flavors. We’re so excited to be working with them to introduce this new flavor to save the pumpkins.”
