Nicole Franzel‘s son is going to be a big brother.
The Big Brother alum announced that she’s expecting her and husband Victor Arroyo’s second baby.
“We are PREGNANT!! Praise Jesus!!” Nicole, who shares Arrow, 4, with Victor, wrote on Instagram Aug. 24. “A HUGE thank you to those who have been praying along side us for this miracle. 3 years in waiting and God said it’s time.”
She added, “Our little family is growing!!”
Along with her news, Nicole shared multiple snaps from a photo shoot in which she wore a long, button-front floral dress and lounged on a white picnic blanket with Victor and Arrow. In the family pictures location tagged to Michigan, where they live, the Big Brother winner cradled her baby bump in front of a clothes line on which hung a blue shirt that said “BROTHER” on it for Arrow.
The 33-year-old, who met Victor on season 18 of Big Brother, also shared the news directly with the show’s viewers during the Aug. 24 episode of the reality competition show’s commentary show Big Brother: Unlocked.
“I know I am raising my glass to you,” she said after sipping from a wine glass, “but this isn’t wine—it’s grape juice, because Victor and I are excited to announce that we’re having another Big Brother baby.”
“I’m pregnant,” Nicole went on. “We’re so excited!”
Many of the couple’s fellow Big Brother alumni took to the comment section on Nicole’s post to congratulate them on their exciting news.
“Nicole I’m so happy for you,” Daniele Briones wrote. “Always worth the wait & just the right timing. Congratulations to you three.”
Meanwhile, Josh Martinez commented, “God is good so happy for you guys,” and Hannah Chaddha said, “congratulations Nicole & Victor (and Arrow).”
Nicole had previously opened up about her struggle to become pregnant again in the years since giving birth to Arrow.
“Three years of trying. One miracle baby. And a whole lot of surrender,” she wrote on Facebook in May. “After our son Arrow, getting pregnant again felt like it should be easy. He was a one-attempt miracle. But after my C-section, the doctor told us to wait a year—and we did. Then came month after month of negative pregnancy tests.”
After noting the they “tried everything” when it came to attempting to conceive again, Nicole explained that she shifted her mindset.
“Eventually, I realized it wasn’t about what I was doing or not doing,” she said. “It was God. It’s always been God. Not in a passive way, but in a purposeful way. There’s a plan here—bigger than mine. Maybe my body can’t take another pregnancy. Maybe there’s something else I’m meant to do. Maybe, just maybe, this season is holy in its own way too.”
