Amelia Dimoldenberg, the English comedian who is best known for creating and hosting the popular web series Chicken Shop Date, will serve, for the third year in a row, as the Oscars’ social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Monday.
Dimoldenberg, 31, will participate in multiple key events throughout the awards season, culminating in interviews with nominees and talent on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
“We are delighted to welcome Amelia back as our social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent, offering viewers worldwide an exclusive glimpse into the Oscars,” Academy chief marketing and communications officer Jennifer Davidson said in a statement. “Amelia’s vibrant personality and engaging interviews continue to resonate with audiences, and we are excited for her to share her experiences this Oscars season with fans.”
Added Dimoldenberg, “I’m thrilled to be hosting the Oscars red carpet for the third year running. It’s an honor to experience the magic of the night up close, especially as a true film lover. I can’t wait to speak to Hollywood’s brightest stars and ask them some very important questions!”
Dimoldenberg, under the banner of her production company Dimz Inc., has posted to YouTube videos that have collectively amassed 3.3 million subscribers, 981 million views and 33.6 million hours of content watched, and she boasts a combined following of 14 million across all platforms. She is best known for Chicken Shop Date, which launched in 2014, as well as her red carpet reporting, branded commissions and, most recently, Passenger Princess, an original series in partnership with F1.
