Julianne Moore is sounding the siren on her summer beauty routine.
And that includes a taking a nice swim. In a recap on what she’s been up to recently, including a bare-faced selfie of her smiling while sporting wet hair and a black bikini top. The 64-year-old simply captioned the Aug. 12 Instagram post, “August.”
As for the rest of her August so far? They included an impressive Wordle score, a burrata and tomato snack and a birthday card for her dog.
Her summer has also been full of family time with her husband Bart Freundlich and their children, Caleb, 27, and Liv, 23, with the Oscar winner proving she’s her son’s No. 1 fan as he pursues a music career.
“Cal killed it at @thesurflodge this weekend. What an epic night,” she wrote July 8. “Love these guys so much.”
As her kids grow up, she’s taking life day by day—and that means adapting to the empty nester stage of parenting.
“That’s what’s surprising,” the May December alum told Vogue in an interview published June 12. “You think that in your life you’re like, ‘I understand change.’ You don’t. It’s that thing that they always tell you: nothing is constant except for change.”
And despite the changes, the Echo Valley star remains her kids’ biggest supporter, even if it might be from the sidelines.
“It’s a true transition for yourself as a parent and it’s a big transition for your family,” she told BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour that same month.. “A lot of people would say to me, ‘Congratulations, you did it,’ when my kids went off to college. But I don’t feel done, and you’re not done, you’re never done.”
Julianne continued, “The stage of them transitioning from your house to a university or job, that’s another place for them developmentally and another place for you developmentally.”
As she put it, “It’s not like it’s over, but it’s an opportunity to take another step.”
