Alix Earle is learning what it takes to tango.
Now that the 24-year-old’s Dancing With the Starsrehearsals are in full swing, she has sought support from her boyfriend Braxton Berrios since she is “a little bruised and beaten up” from her new gig.
“I had a breakdown to Braxton the other night,” Alix told E! News in an exclusive interview Sept. 7 at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by LL Cool J at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. “I was like, ‘Braxton, I don’t think I can be sexy. I don’t know what to do. I need you to help me.’”
And the TikToker is grateful for the NFL star, who she started dating in March 2023.
“He’s so supportive,” Alix continued. “I FaceTime him every day and every chance I get. He’s always supportive and I’m there to support him too. We’re both on crazy schedules right now, but it’s been great supporting each other and getting to see each other.”
Plus, he knows a thing or two about how to deal with her specific injuries.
“I didn’t expect to be sore in the places that I’m sore in,” Alix explained. “I can’t sleep on a pillow right now because my neck is so sore. My feet are all banged up right now.”
Despite the physical and emotional toll that the dancing competition series has taken on her, Alix is having a blast being among the season 34 cast alongside stars like Hilaria Baldwin and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt.
“It feels like I’m at a big dance camp,” she shared. “It’s been so much fun. I’m giddy every day. I wake up and I’m excited to get there, excited to learn more.”
She added, “I’m getting a little better each day, which is great to see some progress because day one I was like, ‘Oh god. I don’t know if I can do this.’ But it’s been really, really great.”
