Paul Teal’s memory lives on.
Almost nine months after the actor’s death from cancer at the age of 35, his final television series The Hunting Wives paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
The Netflix drama’s seventh episode ended with a message appearing on the screen, reading, “In loving memory of Paul Teal.”
Paul, who also appeared on season seven of One Tree Hill,died on Nov. 15 in North Carolina after a seven–month battle with Stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, his partner EmiliaTorelloconfirmed to TMZ at the time. She also shared that he filmed The Hunting Wives during his cancer battle, saying that the cast and crew helped encourage him during the difficult time in his life.
“Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future,” Emilia wrote on Instagram following his death. “You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail.”
She added, “a part of me died with you, I promise to fight to find joy in life as hard as you fought to live every single day.”
Since his death, Emilia—who costarred with Paul on The Hunting Wives—has continued to reflect on their life together. celebrate Paul and mourn his passing, most recently in April on her own birthday.
“It’s so hard to feel like celebrating my birthday when it’s the first one I have to get through without you,” she posted on Instagram April 20 alongside a video of the two planning for a canoe challenge date. “Everything feels so wrong, because it is wrong that you’re not here. It’s so unfair.”
Emilia continued, “I miss you desperately and I love you more than anything in the entire universe.”
“You are my soul mate. My other half. My entire heart,” she wrote. “I will love you forever.”

She continued, “The world is lucky to have even had a moment with Paul Teal, and I am the luckiest person in it, because I got to call you mine. I will love you forever.”
