Teddi Mellencamp is addressing cheating rumors amid her divorce from Edwin Arroyave.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recently broke her silence on reports she allegedly had an affair during her marriage to estranged husband Edwin Arroyave.
Over a year after announcing their split, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star explained she’s kept quiet about the reports for the sake of their children Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5.
“I’ve never talked about it at all, just because of the kids, and I’ve never wanted anybody to have a guarantee whether it happened or didn’t happen,” Teddi said on the Aug. 5 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show. “But what I can say is, did I do things that hurt other people? Yes.”
Teddi tearfully added that she still wonders if her battle with stage 4 cancer is a result of her mistakes.
“To this day, does it still hurt my heart and I wonder if that’s why it got cancer? Yes,” the 44-year-old admitted. “Like it was my payback. So, nothing goes without payment, I guess.”
Though Teddi and Edwin—who were married for 13 years before their 2024 breakup—have put divorce proceedings on pause as she continues treatment to shrink the tumors in her brain and lungs, she still feels remorse because “so many people are hurt in the wreckage.”
“It was all over the press, it was everywhere,” the Bravo alum reflected. “You’re trying to minimize everybody’s pain. You end up maximizing it. Because now not only do you have yourself, you have your significant other, your kids, the other person’s significant other, their kids.”
As for why she made decisions she now regrets?
“I think I was so broken as a human being during that part of my life that I did things out of my better judgment,” she told host Jamie Kern Lima. “Remember how I told you there was like months of headaches and stuff like that? I was looking for comfort anywhere I can get it.”
“I felt so much pain,” Teddi added. “I felt so sick.”
Healthwise, today, she is experiencing the ebbs and flows of treatment. Though immunotherapy has made her feel sicker, her doctors have confirmed the tumors in her brain and lungs are shrinking
“We are going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger,” she on the July 23 episode of her and Tamra Judge’s Two Ts in a Pod podcast, “and we’re going to do steroids and everything to get me back to feeling like—I can do all the things.”
