The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are right around the corner, meaning the year’s top singers and artists are about to take the stage for adrenaline-pumping performances. Many stars will even walk away from the show with coveted Moon Person trophies.
Some of this year’s most-nominated artists include Lady Gaga—who leads the pack with a whopping 12 noms, including Video of the Year for “Die With a Smile”—Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd.
And while we are still a few days away from finding out which artists nab trophies during the ceremony, several music legends are already major winners.
Mariah Carey will accept the Video Vanguard Award honoring her incomparable career and influence on the recording industry. The “Always Be My Baby” singer will also treat viewers to a performance of her biggest hits.
Busta Rhymes will receive the first-ever MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award to celebrate the cultural impact the rapper has made throughout his decades-long career.
Meanwhile, Ricky Martin will be accepting the Latin Icon Award as well as celebrating the 26th anniversary of his first VMAs performance.
