Hulk Hogan was in good spirits prior to his death.
Just two days before the WWE legend’s death at 71, his former manager Jimmy Hart shared insight into how he was doing after spending time with Hulk and his son Nick Hogan at Hogan’s Hangout restaurant.
“Hulk is going great, doing phenomenal!” Jimmy said in a July 22 post on X. “Last night at karaoke with Nick was absolutely fantastic, baby!!!”
However, on July 24, authorities confirmed to E! News that Hulk had died after responding to his Clearwater, Florida, home over a “cardiac arrest” call, with his team later expressing their grief over the loss.
“We are heartbroken,” Hulk’s managers said in a statement to E! News. “He was such a great human being and friend.”
Beyond spending time with friends during his final days, his ex-wife Linda Hogan looked back on their life together.
The former actress—who shares kids Brooke, 37, and Nick, 34,with the WWE Hall of Famer—shared a July 20 Instagram post featuring a throwback photo of her and Hulk simply writing, “The good old days!”
Following his death, Hulk was mourned by fellow wrestlers and friends in entertainment.
“I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @hulkhogan,” Ric Flair wrote on Instagram alongside several photos of himself with Hulk (real name Terry Gene Bollea). “Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father!”
Sylvester Stallone, remembered his time in the ring with Hulk in Rocky III writing, “I had the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old. He was absolutely wonderful and his amazing skill made Rocky III incredibly special. My heart breaks. I think that he’s gone…”
