While lips may be sealed, it’s not legally binding.
While all eyes were seemingly on Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos’ star-studded nuptials in Venice, details about the affair have remained scarce. But, according to guest Sara Foster, that’s not because they were asked to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) as her sister Erin Foster suggested.
“Absolutely not,” Sara said in response to the suggestion during the July 17 episode of their podcast, The World’s First Podcast with Erin & Sara Foster. “There were no… no one signed NDAs. No NDA.”
But with more than 200 guests in attendance and hardly any insight into the June ceremony, Erin couldn’t help but wonder if those in attendance were “protecting” the couple, asking her sister, “Why won’t you share more information?”
To which Sara responded, “There’s nothing—it’s so interesting how the optics were this over the top, you know, protesters. It’s just not what it was. It actually felt very intimate.”
Indeed, the announcement of the lavish nuptials added fuel to the fire of Venetian’s growing frustrations with over-tourism, drawing various forms of protest in the days and weeks leading up to the ceremony.
There were also those who took issue with celebrities choosing to attend the wedding.
“Here’s the problem,” Sara said. “You can’t say anything anymore without being attacked. I swear to God, it never occurred to me once that anybody would take issue with people attending a wedding. Truly. It really didn’t. It didn’t.”
She continued of her Instagram recap from the wedding weekend, “When I was posting these fantastic pictures of me, all these gorgeous Monique Lhuillier dresses, it just didn’t occur to me that it was going to be such a polarizing. It really didn’t. I guess I’m stupid.”
Sara also shared insight into the guest list, which boasted the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Orlando Bloom, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher and Tom Brady. And, as it turns out, many more A-listers who flew under the radar.
“There were definitely a lot of people that were not photographed,” Sara revealed. But upon her sister’s prodding for names, the 44-year-old continued, “I can’t. That’s like so lame. I’m not going to do that. But there were—it’s very interesting how many people went unphotographed.”
