Mitchel Musso is taking a wrecking ball to Miley Cyrus‘ allegations.
After the “We Can’t Stop” singer alleged that he smoked weed on the set of Hannah Montana, Mitchel spoke out to deny her claim.
“Well, that’s not how I remember it,” he said in a statement to E! News June 19. “However, I’ve got plenty of stories from those years that might be worth having a conversation about. If we’re revisiting Hannah Montana history—just say the word.”
The actor—who played Oliver on the show from 2006 to 2011—concluded with a message to his former costar.
“All love to Miley and the fam,” he said, “even when the rewrites get this creative.”
During the June 19 episode of Sorry We’re Cyrus, Miley accused both Mitchel and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus of smoking marijuana on set.
In fact, when mom Tish Cyrus asked her about a “core memory” fromher timeplaying the titular pop star, Miley responded, “Dad smoking pot and everyone blaming me for it.”
“It’s hilarious,” the 32-year-old added. “He wasn’t sharing.”
At the time, even Tish didn’t believe it was Billy Ray. “They were calling me, saying, ‘B. Ray was smoking pot,'” the matriarch recalled. “And I was saying, ‘He would never do that.'”
And when Tish joked that she blamed Mitchel, Miley alleged, “It was Mitchell Musso. It was both.”
Billy Ray’s rep had no comment on the claim when contacted by E! News.
But the alleged mishap aside, Miley has looked back at her time on Hannah Montana fondly, recently gushing that her fans—especially those in the LGBTQ+ community—were “fabulous.”
“There’s Nickelodeon gays and Disney gays,” she explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live in May, saying that Nickelodeon gays “like boogers and bro jokes, and Disney—I would like to think—is a little bit more fabulous. Especially if it’s about a teenage pop star wearing a wig being the most famous drag queen for kids ever.”

In recent years, the actor has appeared on shows such as The Middle and Jean-Claude Van Johnson and movies such as Ben-Hur and Pitch Perfect 3. In 2020, he starred in the Pete Davidson-Judd Apatow film The King of Staten Island.
Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Ashley Dewitt)

Miley’s onscreen and real-life dad continues to concentrate on his music career. In 2019, he earned his first No. 1 single after joining Lil Nas X on the official remix of the record-breaking smash hit “Old Town Road.” In 2016 and 2017, he starred on the show Still the King.
Noah Cyrus
Miley’s little sister appeared on six episodes of Hannah Montana. She began a music career in 2016 and released her debut single, “Make Me (Cry).” In 2018, she dated Lil Xan and they released the collaboration “Live or Die.” The two broke up after a couple of months.
