Corey Feldman will always stand by his dancing partner—and their short-lived waltz.
The Lost Boys alum gave Jenna Johnson her flowers following their sudden elimination from season 34 of Dancing With the Stars.
“Jenna’s amazing. I really enjoyed her,” Corey, 54, said during the show’s Sept. 23 episode as he stood next to Jenna on the ballroom floor. “I feel really terrible because she deserved better, personally speaking. She was the queen from last year, so she deserves to be the champ every year in my book ‘cause she’s really great.”
Indeed, the 31-year-old—who started competing on DWTS in 2014—and the Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei took home the Mirrorball trophy last November. However, Jenna and Corey didn’t replicate that notable win during this current season. After the judges revealed their scores, the dancing duo was sent home in a double elimination alongside competitors Baron Davis and Britt Stewart.
And while The Goonies star was disappointed that he couldn’t secure Jenna another win, she noted that she’s proud to have worked with him.
“It’s been so much fun getting to know Corey,” she told Entertainment Tonight shortly after the elimination, giving her partner a side hug. “You know when you meet somebody and you just instantly mesh? I feel like that was kind of our journey and we had so much fun in rehearsals. He made me laugh so much—that’s the part I’m going to miss.”
However, it seems their final tango won’t be the end of their friendship. In fact, Jenna revealed that she wants Corey to meet her 2-year-old son Rome, whom she shares with husband and DWTS icon Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
“I’ve gotta meet her baby,” Corey happily chimed in, before sharing why he hasn’t had the chance to connect with the professional dancer’s little one. “We’ve been working seven days a week. And not only that, but her husband is next door doing the same thing.”
