Candice Miller just took a major step grieving her husband Brandon Miller

Nearly one year after the social media influencer—who, along with her sister Jenna Crispi, helmed the Mama and Tata lifestyle blog—lost her husband in a death by suicide, she has returned to Instagram. 

“‘In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer,’” Candice wrote, quoting French philosopher Albert Camus’ “Return to Tipasa,” alongside a photo of a sunrise over a beach in the June 2 post. “‘And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger—something better, pushing right back.”

The mommy blogger—who shared two daughters with her late husband—received lots of support from her fans following the return to the platform. 

As one wrote, “Oh hi, I love you.”

Another expressed excitement to see the content creator’s return.

“So happy you’re back,” the commenter wrote. “We’ve missed you. Praying for you and your girls.”

Aside from the new post, Candice had otherwise wiped her page, only leaving her bio which reads, “Just here doing me.”

Candice’s husband died in Southampton Hospital July 3 following a suicide attempt, while his wife and daughters were vacationing on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a Suffolk law enforcement official told the New York Times at the time.

The real estate mogul was allegedly millions of dollars in debt at the time of his death. In a note the businessman had left behind, he expressed financial strain and explained that a deal he hoped would alleviate his family’s troubles had fallen through. 

In a statement to the outlet, Candice—who tied the knot with Brandon in 2009—expressed her grief.

Candice is devastated by the loss of her soul mate,” a spokesperson told the New York Timeslast August, “and her two young daughters’ lives are forever impacted by the loss of their beloved daddy.”
