José Díaz-Balart Adds Streaming Show and ‘Dateline’ to Telemundo Role

José Díaz-Balart is ramping up his responsibilities at Telemundo, NBCUniversal’s Spanish-language media division.

The veteran news anchor will host a new streaming show called Ahora 360 on Telemundo’s free ad-supported streaming platform Noticias Telemundo AHORA. Díaz-Balart will host the program alongside Arantxa Loizaga, with the show featuring “social, political and cultural stories along with dynamic conversations with newsmakers, thought leaders and personalities discussing a diverse range of issues impacting the Latino community,” per Telemundo.

In addition, Díaz-Balart will host the Spanish edition of the newsmagazine Dateline for Telemundo, while also becoming a contributor to the NBC edition of the show, which is anchored by Lester Holt.

A former anchor of Telemundo’s evening newscast Díaz-Balart, will also continue to do bilingual work for the company as the anchor of the Saturday edition of NBC Nightly News. The anchor previously hosted a dayside hour on MSNBC, but lost that program in a programming shakeup connected to the NBCUniversal and Versant split.
