Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver will always be connected.
Indeed, the former couple stepped out for a family dinner at Nobu in Malibu Sept. 22 alongside kids Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband Chris Pratt, as well as newlywed son Patrick Schwarzenegger and his wife Abby Champion.
For the outing, Maria sported a long black coat, along with a matching top and silk pants. The 69-year-old topped her look with a black Birkin and slip-on shoes.
Arnold, 78, for his part, wore orange pants and a black T-shirt with a matching jacket topped with personal patches and black sneakers. The family appeared to be in celebration mode, happily greeting each other outside the restaurant.
Although they separated in 2011, Arnold and Maria have maintained a friendly relationship, reuniting for outings with their family, which also includes kids Christina, 33, and Christopher, 27. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they don’t exchange playful hits with each other from time to time.
After all, Arnold—also dad to Joseph Baena, 27, with Mildred Baena—recently called out his ex over their prolonged divorce, which was only officially finalized in 2021.
“I know a lot about journalists,” Arnold began at a Hall of Fame induction ceremony for pal Chris Wallace. “I’ve been interviewed by thousands and thousands of journalists. But not only that, I was also married to a journalist.”
As Arnold quipped, “The only difference between Chris and Maria is that Chris has never taken half my money.”
And while Maria hasn’t addressed her ex’s curve, she recently emphasized that they maintain a playful dynamic with each other.
“We laugh a lot about our kids, our grandkids, ourselves,” she explained to People in an interview published March 26. “We are proud of the fact that we are still in conversation. For almost 50 years!”
Indeed, Maria emphasized the former couple are “in such a good place.”
