Jen Affleck isn’t keeping this life moment a secret.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star revealed what it was like filming her recent Dunkin’ Donuts commercial alongside Ben Affleck and whether or not her husband Zac Affleck got to the Argo director on set.
“He met Ben Affleck,” Jen exclusively told E! News after the Sept. 23 episode of Dancing With the Stars. “We both did. He was right there. Yeah, it was a crazy moment for us.”
The 26-year-old went on to detail her husband’s reaction to the run-in with the man who the couple had previously believed to be Zac’s second cousin—only to later learn that they’re not at all related.
“It’s so funny, because before he was like, ‘I’m not nervous at all. It’s no big deal. Whatever,'” she said with a laugh. “And then he walked into our trailer, and I think everyone lost it. Everyone was like, ‘Ah, Ben Affleck!'” (For more with this season’s DWTS cast, tune into E! News tonight, Sept. 24 at 11 p.m.)
Jen had previously shared some insight into what the vibe was like on set with Ben for the commercial, which saw her describe herself as “twice the personality, half the price” while picking up an order for “Affleck” at the Dunkin’ counter. She goes on to jokingly call Ben “dated” before the ad cuts to the actor overhearing her dissing him from the drive-through window and he says, “Rude!”
“It was very lighthearted,” she explained on the Sept. 16 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “We just like, laughed about it.”
And while Jen may have deemed herself the “value Affleck” in the ad, she did admit that one of Ben’s kids—he shares Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13 with ex Jennifer Garner—came to set just to meet her.
“His daughter came with her best friend and—huge fan,” Jen, who did not specify Ben’s daughter by name, explained. “She’s like, ‘I don’t care if we’re not related. We are related.’ I was like, ‘Great!’”
The reality star also shared that both she and Ben were grateful that one another had agreed to take part in the cheeky commercial to begin with.
“He was like, ‘Thank you for doing this,’” Jen said of the Pearl Harbor actor. “I’m like, ‘What do you mean thank you for doing this?’ I’m like, ‘Thank you.’”
