Keke Palmer is having one of them glamorous days.
The Nope star stepped out for the 2025 Met Gala in New York City on May 5, and her look certainly turned heads as she made her way up the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s iconic steps. (To see every star who showed out for the 2025 Met Gala, click here.)
For the haute couture occasion—which was co-chaired by A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Anna Wintour and honorary co-chair LeBron James—Keke rocked a stunning white halter top made to look like a tuxedo, which also featured a dramatic train.
To top off her look, which kept with this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, the 31-year-old paired her ensemble with black trousers, as well as a feathered headpiece and peep-toe heels.
But this isn’t the first time Keke has made everyone do a double take on the Met Gala red carpet.
Last year, the One of Them Days actress stole the spotlight in a shimmering silver Marc Jacobs gown with cutout detailing to go with the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme.
For Keke—mom to son Leo, 2, with ex Darius Jackson—fashion is all about taking risks and changing your style based on where she’s at in life.
“I’m constantly trying to evolve,” the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast host told Emma Chamberlain on the red carpet at the 2024 charity gala. “I’ve become a mother in the past year. My son’s now 1 years old. I’m 30 now, honey. I’m getting older, finer, whiner.”
And that adaptable attitude bleeds into how she approaches her career as well—even if Hollywood hasn’t always had the same approach towards her.
“From the beginning of my career, my mom always made me feel comfortable with being multifaceted,” Keke told Harper’s Bazaar in 2020. “But I think in our industry, at the time that I got in, you were only allowed to be one thing. If you are a movie star, you can’t be on TV. If you are a TV star, you’ll never do movies.”
She added, “I do see the shift. And I think it’s magical.”
