Watch:‘Today’s’ Sheinelle Jones Absent From Show Due to “Family Health Matter”

Sheinelle Jones’ colleagues are sending her love from afar.

Amid the Today cohost’s continued absence, Craig Melvin, Dylan Dreyer and Al Roker shared an update with viewers, with Craig confirming he’s spoken to her recently.

“I just talked to her a couple days ago—she’s taking some time to be with her family and we talk to her all the time,” he told Access Hollywood. “We love our girl. It’s been nice to see how much everyone else loves her, too.”

Dylan, meanwhile, confirmed Sheinelle would eventually return to Rockefeller Center.

“She misses being here,” the 43-year-old noted. “She wishes she was here with us, but she’s doing what she needs to do.”

To which Al added, “We’re just praying for her.”

E! News has reached out to reps for Today and Sheinelle for comment but has not heard back.

The update comes three months after Sheinelle, who last appeared on the NBC Morning show in December, shared she’d be taking a step back from the morning news show through a message shared to social media.

Today‘s Sheinelle Jones Absent From Show Due to “Family Health Matter”

“Hi everybody…I sincerely appreciate all of you who have reached out while I’ve been absent from the show,” she wrote on January 15 . “I want to share with you that I’m taking time to deal with a family health matter. It’s not lost on [me] how lucky I am to have not only the support of my Today Show family, but to also have all of you. Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon.”

The 46-year-old’s message was echoed on-air by Craig and Savannah Guthrie at the time, who shared, “We know so many of you have been asking about Sheinelle and missing her, and we miss her too.”

Sheinelle has long been an important part of the Today Show family.

In fact, when it was announced Craig would be stepping into his role as co-anchor following Hoda Kotb’s departure, he shared how important Sheinelle’s support was to him.

“You and I had a great conversation yesterday that I needed,” Craig told his cohost during a November episode. “You were like, ‘Today, just receive it.’”

He added, “I said to you a few weeks ago, ‘I’ve worked with you longer than anyone else in my career at this point.'”
