Becky G knows a thing or two about performing in the desert.
So before the “Sin Pijama” singer made a surprise guest appearance during Tyla’s debut set at the 2025 Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif., April 11, she made sure to share all her tips for keeping her vocals in top form.
“I was like, ‘What do you need? I got you,’” Becky exclusively told The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes April 12 at the 2025 Revolve Festival, which took place during the first weekend of Coachella. “The desert is brutal. It’s dry, there’s dust… start your day off with a Claritin D, even if you don’t have allergies. I swear, that is a game changer.”
In addition to must-haves like throat lozenges and a personal humidifier, the 28-year-old—who previously performed at Coachella in 2023 and 2025—also shared her pre-show ritual for spicing things up.
“Of course, it doesn’t go without a shot of tequila,” she added. “One little shot before I go on stage and then I’m good to go.”
After teaming up with the “Water” singer, Becky (real name Rebbeca Marie Gomez) is also set to hit the stage with a special guest of her own.
“The performance tonight is gonna be really, really special,” she explained. “I get to perform with Gustavo Dudamel, who is an incredible human being and just an incredible talent.”
Becky added, “I think it’s gonna be really special.”
And despite releasing her latest album Encuentros just six months ago, Becky also revealed she has new music on the way.
“I told my team after the last album that I wanted to take a break, and the break was literally just my Christmas break,” she admitted. “We got back into the studio and we’ve been making a lot of new music based off of this newfound sense of self that I discovered making my regional Mexican albums. Going back to my roots really allowed me to dive deeper in my artistry.”
As for when fans can expect to hear what she’s been working on, Becky teased, “When I say very, very soon, it’s like, very soon.”
