Kylie Kelce lives by these words of wisdom.
When it comes to her relationship with husband Jason Kelce, the former NFL player’s wife said that the best marriage advice she’s ever received is to “always date your spouse.”
“At the end of the day, I truly believe you chose your spouse,” Kylie explained on an April 10 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. “You chose to love them, you chose to let them love you. And you chose to build a life together.”
As part of their shared journey, the couple became parents to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and baby Finnley “Finn” Anne, whom they welcomedMarch 30. While Kylie made it clear that she loves them “as much as I could ever love another being,” she also added that she didn’t necessarily choose them, adding, “I got what I got with my kids.”
And the same sentiment applies to the rest of her family.
“I love my parents, I love my sister,” Kylie emphasized to guest LeeAnn Kreischer. “They’re my family. I got what I got. My husband, I picked. So it’s one of those things where it’s like, ‘I’m going to keep picking you by continuing to date you and appreciate you.’”
As for what dating looks like within an already existing marriage? For Kylie, it’s just a matter of being intentional with the time she and Jason spend together.
“Over the 10 years that we’ve known each other, we’ve seen a growth in each other that you can only appreciate if you’re still actively investing in your relationship,” the 33-year-old shared, “engaging with that person and then being able to appreciate the changes and growth that you guys have made both together and independently.”
“That’s what you do when you date someone,” she added. “You get to know them and you get to appreciate who they are and learn about them. I’m still learning my husband all the time. I know who he is as a person, but I love learning about him as he’s continued throughout his career, throughout just getting older, becoming a dad.”
After all, Jason has made it abundantly clear that he absolutely adores being a girl dad.
“It’s been such a blessing to have three healthy, smart, wonderful children,” Jason told E! News in November, shortly after finding out they were expecting Finn. “And hopefully we’ll welcome a fourth into this world, and we’ll be able to watch them fight and tear each other apart and all the good stuff.”

“Unbelievable honor to see it in person,” he continued. “The size is incredible, looks so small when NBA players are holding it, but it’s actually massive!! The girls were very interested in it.”
