The 2025 American Music Awards are underway—and it’s time to wish all of the musicians good luck, babe!
This year’s batch of nominees is particularly competitive, with legacy acts like Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift nominated in the big categories. (Check out all the stars on the red carpet here.)
Meanwhile, singers like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan get to celebrate their whirlwind success in 2024, with nominations across categories like Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Artist.
Pop was a big category this year, but the American Music Awards will also honor artists across genres like country, R&B and K-Pop. With Beyoncé dropping Cowboy Carter last March, she’s up for big country awards—including Country Album of the Year—alongside acts like Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll and even her collaborator Shaboozey.
As for other exciting additions to this year’s ceremony? Bad Bunny naturally scooped upthree nods in the Latin music categories for his album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. And Brat summer isn’t over just yet, with Charli XCX earning three nominations for her culture-defining album.
Aside from the players themselves, the American Music Awards will be a sight for fans to see. Jennifer Lopez is returning to host the Las Vegas’ Fontainebleau, following Pitbull, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie as the fourth solo artist to host the ceremony twice.
More beautiful things in store include a performance from Benson Boone, separate performances from power couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, and a live award show performance debut from Renée Rapp, who will perform new music off her sophomore album.
