The Banff World Media Festival has unveiled the Grand Jury for its upcoming Rockie Awards, to be handed out on June 16, 2026.
The 2026 jury will include Flory Bramnick, executive vp of distribution and networks, North America, at Sony Pictures Television, Sally Catto, general manager of entertainment, factual & sports at the CBC, Canada’s public broadcaster, and Lori Conkling, head of TV and film licensing at Netflix.
Also set for jury duty in the Canadian Rockies to judge small-screen storytelling is Lisa Holme, head of content at Roku Media, and Yongsun Soh, managing director of A+E Global Media Korea. The Rockie Awards each year pits American TV producers against Canadian and other global series makers in a head-to-head battle for critical acclaim in Banff.
The Rockie Awards will be handed out on June 16, 2026 during the Banff media festival and its winners is expected to give a window on where global TV is headed as streaming consolidation, rising production costs and the rapid onset of AI has the entertainment industry rethinking business models and creative strategies.
“The Rockie Awards Grand Jury represents an extraordinary depth of experience and creative leadership across platforms, genres, and territories. Their collective insight ensures that the Grand Jury Prize continues to recognize excellence that resonates globally,” Jenn Kuzmyk, executive director of the Banff World Media Festival, said in a statement on Tuesday.
Past winners of the Rockie Awards Grand Jury Prize include The Last of Us, Fleabag, I May Destroy You, Sharp Objects, Big Little Lies and last year Hell Jumper. Banff Rockie Award nominations for the 2026 competition will be announced at a later date.
The Banff World Media Festival is set to run June 14 to 17, 2026.
