Watch:Barbara Bush Shares Rare Photos of 6-Month-Old Son Edward

Barbara Pierce Bush’s baby boy is ready for his close up.

While joining twin sister Jenna Bush Hager as guest cohost of Today With Jenna & Friends March 24, Barbara couldn’t help but gush over her and Craig Coyne’s baby boy, Edward, while sharing a rare glimpse of him and big sister Cora Georgia, 3.

“I have a new little guy named Edward,” she told the audience. “He’s six months old. There they are, Edward and Cora Georgia my two little cuties.”

Edward got an introduction to the world as an updated photo appeared on the screen showing him in Craig’s arms and looking alert for the camera while they stand next to Barbara and Cora. Another picture appeared showing Edward and Cora sitting on the floor with their parents as they read them a story.

After looking at the pictures of her baby boy, Barbara—who has been married to Craig since 2018—couldn’t help but share his stats with the world.

“Well, he’s a big guy,” she quipped. “He’s a very big guy. He’s 30lbs. To put it in context, my 3-year-old is 32lbs. So, he’s large and in charge.”

Jenna added, “I know he’s big, because he’s my nephew.”

But all kidding aside, Barbara gushed over her infant, whom she welcomed in August.

“No, he’s perfect,”she emphasized. “Proportionate and he’s here for the ride.”

Jenna—who shares children Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and Hal, 5, with husband Henry Hager—was in awe of her sister’s motherhood journey.

“Sissy, it’s so fun watching you become a mom,” Jenna said. “You’re so natural at it. It’s really beautiful.”

In fact, the journalist was proud to announce the arrival of Edward on her sister’s behalf, as she remains mostly out of the spotlight.

“My sissy had a little mister,” Jenna wrote on Instagram on Aug. 5 alongside several photos of Edward sleeping while his mother and aunt hold him, “and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn!”

Barbara previously spoke about her motherhood journey, which began with her giving birth to Cora six weeks early in the children’s hospital named after her grandmother, and former First Lady of the United States Barbara Bush

“I went to visit her in the NICU and looked on the wall and it said, Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital,” a tearful Barbara recalled on Today in 2023, adding, “So it just felt very divine that she was born here and she got excellent care.”
