Nicole Eggert has taken another step in her cancer journey.
The Baywatch star, who was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in December 2023, shared that she has undergone a mastectomy surgery.
“Had a mastectomy with reconstruction on Thursday,” Nicole wrote on Instagram Aug. 27. “How was ur weekend?”
The 53-year-old shared the message alongside a mirror selfie, which showed her from the neck down while wearing a tight, black sports bra and white underwear.
The Charles in Charge alum—who is mom to daughter Dilyn, 27 with ex Justin Herwick and daughter Keegan, 14, from a past relationship—has been candid about how difficult her cancer battle has been, specifically noting all of the scans she has to get every five to six months to see if the cancer has progressed.
“It’s no joke,” she confessed in an Aug. 8 Instagram video. “That they call it scanxiety—the anxiety leading up to it is debilitating—it’s horrible.”
Nicole shared that when she went in for her results, she was sure she was going to “vomit all over the waiting room.”
“I was shaking,” she recalled. “I kept thinking I was gonna faint.”
Luckily, Nicole was greeted with good news as her scans were clear. But even the good news left her emotional.
“I’m sobbing. I’m crying and weeping of gratitude and happiness and all the emotions,” she said. “It’s so up and down. It’s so much on us.”
And as the actress noted, dealing with the difficulties of cancer “is not for the weary.”
She added, “This is hardcore stuff.”
And the waiting that comes with breast cancer has been among the most difficult parts of it for Nicole. As she explained to People in 2024, “It’s sort of something I didn’t really realize, and nobody really talks about.”
“But the gray area is the hardest because you don’t know what’s happening,” Nicole continued. “When I’m doing treatment, I felt like I was doing something productive.”

The two-time Oscar winner underwent successful treatment for cancer, and his rep confirmed to E! News that doctors deemed Hoffman “surgically cured.”

Then in 2017, Camille had surgery to remove Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.

Alongside a pair of photos that show a line of stitches running from the bottom of his ear to his jaw, which he later covered with a bandage, the British celebrity chef shared that he underwent a procedure to treat skin cancer.
