Brian Austin Green thought he was Megan Fox’s twin flame.

Five years after he and the Jennifer’s Body star—who share kids Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8—broke up spring in 2020, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum reflected on herbeginning a high-profile romance with Machine Gun Kelly just a few months later.

It was a quick moving thing,” Brian—who admitted he was “devastated” by Megan wanting a divorce—admitted on the Oldish podcast May 5. “It went from, ‘Hey we should get a divorce’ to all of a sudden like, ‘Hey my twin flame,’ and ‘I manifested him.’”

However, the 51-year-old—whose battle with ulcerative colitis left him bedridden for years just before his divorce—noted that his health issues helped him get through that difficult life chapter.

“Because of the health stuff I had gone through at the point when she approached me and the Machine Gun Kelly stuff and everything was happening,” Brian recalled, “I was genuinely in a place of with all of the stuff I’ve dealt with, ‘I can deal with this,’ Like, ‘This is not going to kill me, the other thing could’ve killed me’ I’ll be okay.”

Still, he admitted that watching Megan and MGK—who broke up in December just a few months before welcoming their first baby together—have such a connection was “really hard.”

As he recalled, “I had absolute moments of jealousy and all the normal things you go through.”

The Desperate Housewives alum—who also shares Kassius, 21, with ex Vanessa Marcil and Zane, 2, with fiancée Sharna Burgess—couldn’t even blame Megan at the time, despite being heartbroken.

“I loved her,” he admitted. “I didn’t want to bad mouth her. Even though it was a s–tty situation I really didn’t want to bad mouth her and I wanted the best for her, begrudgingly. Some emotions are not mutually exclusive.”

Ultimately, Brian, whose divorce from the Transformers star was finalized in 2021, understood why Megan, 38, moved on to such a whirlwind romance with the “Bad Things” rapper.

“Things got too responsible for her too young,” he explained. “She just got to a point in her life where she was like, ‘I missed out on being an irresponsible kid. I jumped in at just over 18 years old with a guy that had a 2-year-old and it was like family right away.”

Indeed, Brian said that from his perspective, Megan and MGK, 35, made sense.

As he put it, “I think when she realized that she wanted out quickly, which was then what made it hard for me.”
