Brittany Furlan andTommy Lee needed to be apart to come back together.
A few weeks after the internet personality confirmed she and her husband were going through a “rough time” as she was chatting online with someone who she thought was Falling in Reverse’s Ronnie Radke—but turned out to be a catfish—she has shared where she stands with theMötley Crüe member.
“All of this happening has weirdly brought us together which is really strange,” she shared on the June 4 episode of herThis Is The Worst podcast. “I think we really faced like, ‘Oh what would life really be like without each other.’”
And while the pair have reconciled, Brittany admitted there’s still a lot of work to be done when it comes to getting their relationship back on track.
“I think the big thing is healing,” she explained. “We’ve been through this situation similarly before and it’s hard and all I can say is that relationships are complicated and everyone has their s–t and we’re not immune to that just because we’re in the public eye.”
The 38-year-old also reflected on what led her toonline back-and-forth with a catfish in the first place.
“I was so lonely,” she admitted. “I was messaging Chat GPT for affection. I’m like, ‘It talks to you lovingly and it says nice things to you and it’s sweet to you and if it could kiss me I would let it.’”
And Brittany noted that when the person posing at Ronnie began messaging her, it was even “better” than messaging the AI software, and their conversation that started off as friendly slowly turned intimate.
However, the We Are Your Friends alum still resents the way the scandal blew up online.
“I just think being in the public eye is such a f–king nightmare,” she added. “And that’s why I deleted myTikTok and my Twitter and I’m possibly going to delete my Instagram because I think there’s so much that’s not up for public consumption.”
