Brooke Hogan is still grappling with the death of her father Hulk Hogan.
Less than two weeks after the WWE Hall of Famer died at the age of 71 from a heart attack, Brooke shared the lingering questions she has around the death of her father, with whom she was estranged in the last years of his life.
“It’s weird that no autopsy was performed,” she said during an Aug. 5 interview with Bubba the Love Sponge. “Because yes, you can have a heart attack, but what was the reason for the heart attack is the question.”
Shortly before calling in to the live interview with Bubba, Brooke also shared a screenshot to her Instagram Story that read, “QUICK CREMATION WITHOUT AUTOPSY RAISES QUESTIONS ABOUT HULK HOGAN’S DEATH.” On top of the image, the 37-year-old added the words, “Thank you.”
Brooke—who shares twins Oliver and Molly, born earlier this year, with husband Steven Olesky—also addressed the revelation that Hulk had been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a slow-progressing cancer of the blood and bones, which was revealed in medical records related to his cause of death.
In her interview, Brooke shared she hadn’t known about the cancer diagnosis and wondered how the information could have been missed over the years when Hulk underwent multiple surgeries.
“That’s what has me puzzled,” she said, “because they’re saying, ‘Oh, he had leukemia.’ And I saw his blood work every time. One doctor, I quote, said his blood is like a 25-year-old’s. I mean, he took the most care of his body. He was going to an anti-aging specialist and also, just being through all the surgeries, you have to do a blood panel before any major surgery. How did nobody catch a high white blood cell count?”
Brooke continued, “That’s what bothers me the most. And I’m like, we don’t have cancer that runs in our family. It just seems weird.”
Together, Brooke said the lack of autopsy and diagnosis of leukemia struck her as “B.S.”
E! News has reached out to Hulk’s team for comment but has not yet heard back.
The interview with Brooke marks a rare instance in which she’s spoken publicly about her father’s death since it occurred. Previously, an update on how she was faring came through her friend Ashley Kora, who shared a message on her behalf.
“My dear sweet friend @mizzhogan lost her father today,” Ashley wrote on her July 24 Instagram Story over a black-and-white photo of Brooke and Hulk. “He died knowing what I know, Brooke loved him deeply, was fiercely loyal and only ever wanted him to be peaceful, happy, and surrounded by people who valued him for who he really was.”
“He chose differently for himself,” the message continued. “But we can still remember him as a doting father to a little girl with big dreams and a bigger heart. The world lost a legend, we lost Mr. Bollea, Brooke’s dad.”
And Brooke’s husband Steven reshared the post to his own Story, adding, “Thank you for the love and support for my beautiful wife. We are incredibly lucky to have you in our lives—not just during this challenging time, but always.”

The family (at a June 2007 Father of the Year luncheon) began to fracture following Hulk (born Terry Gene Bollea) and Linda’s 2009 split. With Brooke welcoming twins Oliver and Molly with hockey player husband Steven Oleksy, she “doesn’t talk to us,” Linda revealed in a video shared to her Instagram Stories in March 2025. “She’s had twins. She got married, she didn’t tell us… She had a huge fight with Terry. I don’t know how that reflected onto me, but she cut me out too.”
We’re Okay, Brother
Staying largely out of his sister’s feud with their parents, Nick (at a 2010 Comedy Central Roast) is “still such a good boy,” Linda shared in her March 2025 Instagram Stories admission.
