Bryan Cranston Has the Perfect Reaction to Daughter Taylor Dearden’s Success on The Pitt

Watch:Bryan Cranston Reacts to Daughter Taylor Dearden’s Success on The Pitt

Bryan Cranston would entrust his health to The Pitt’s Dr. King.

Why? Well, because actress Taylor Dearden is his and wife Robin Dearden’s daughter—and the Malcolm in the Middle alum couldn’t be happier for her success.

“There’s nothing more gratifying than when your kid receives praise—nothing,” Bryan told the AP during the premiere of Everything’s Going To Be Great at the Tribeca Festival June 9. “No one can say anything to me that’s better than that. So, her mom and I are over the moon with her work on it. She’s a very hard-working person.”

After all, with two parents in show business, acting is practically written into Taylor’s DNA.

“She grew up in it,” Bryan noted. “So it’s in her bones. She’s in it for the right reasons, and she loves it.”

And if Taylor ever needs advice, she doesn’t have to look far.

“I think she picks up—because I’m her dad—she picks up advice hopefully by the way I behave in this business and navigate my way through,” the Breaking Bad alum said. “But I don’t ever say, ‘Now young lady, here’s some advice I want to give you.’ Kids don’t want to hear that.”

He added, “But she’s doing great, and the show is fantastic.”

But Bryan isn’t the only one who thinks the HBO Max medical drama is a hit. Not only has the series already been greenlit for a second season, but star Noah Wyle recently revealed his former ER costars have also enjoyed watching his return to the emergency room—including George Clooney.

“George watched it and he was very complimentary, which I think was his way of getting me to come see his show, which worked,” Noah told E! News June 2, alluding to George’s Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck. “He was equally phenomenal.”

The 54-year-old added, “I’ve seen quite a few of the old cast members and they’ve been really lovely.”

Noah also didn’t have enough praise for his fellow cast of The Pitt which, in addition to Taylor, includes stars Tracy Ifeachor, Katherine LaNasa and Patrick Ball.

“As much drama as we have on-camera, we have as much comedy off-camera,” Noah, also a writer and executive producer on the series, quipped. “It’s a really great group of people who work hard and play hard, who take their work seriously but don’t take themselves seriously. It’s the best chemistry experiment I’ve ever been a part of.”
