Kamie Crawford is keeping it real.
After leaving MTV’s Catfish in October, Kamie shared an update on whether she and her former cohost Nev Schulman remain in touch.
“We are not,” she exclusively told E! News at the Webby Awards in NYC May 12. “But I’m still in contact with a lot of the people from the show. The Catfishes included, so I am very, very happy.”
And while she’s officially logged out of the MTV show, Kamie has plenty more in store for the future.
“I feel amazing, honestly,” the 32-year-old explained. “I feel like there’s so much more ahead for me. And being on Catfish for six years was an incredible experience. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I’m so proud of everything that we did on the show. But I’m really excited to start producing my own projects and put my name behind my projects as more than just a host.”
Which led to her decision to leave Catfish.
“I think six years in any job is a really long time,” she said. “A lot of people don’t stay in certain roles for that long. And so, I think it was just time for me to spread my wings, and I’m really excited to be doing that.”
Don’t expect her to make a future cameo, either. As she shared, “think I’ve had my fill.”
Yet, Kamie—whose Relationsh*t podcast was a 2025 Webby award winner—still feels passionately about the show’s purpose.
“I’ve been very, very vocal on the show about how I feel about just finding love in general,” she added. “I think people find love in weird places. I don’t judge. I try to just listen and hear people out. So I feel like my work there is done.”
When Kamie announced her exit from Catfish on Instagram, a comment from MTV noted she’d always remain “part of the family” while the Catfish account wrote, alongside heart emojis, “Thank you for everything.”
