Chris Hemsworth is having a party fit for a god.
After all, the Thor star put down his Mjölnir to celebrate his 42nd birthday on the water in Ibiza, Spain, alongside his loved ones.
Chris spent Aug. 10—the day before his actual birthday—with his younger brother Liam Hemsworth, older brother Luke Hemsworth, as well as close pals Taika Waititi and his wife Rita Ora, and Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso.
After eating lunch at Casa Jondal on Ibiza’s southern coast, the group soaked in the sun on a yacht cruising through the Balearic Sea.
For the occasion, Chris, Liam and Taika kept it simple with white T-shirts and shorts, Matt opted for a blue polo shirt and gray pants, while Rita was down to show off a polka-dot bikini with a matching headband.
One day after the party, Liam, 35, posted a selfie with Luke, 44, and a shirtless Chris on the yacht with his sweet birthday message.
“Thanks for always being such a wonderful legend,” the Hunger Games alum gushed on Instagram Aug. 11. “Never change. I hope I have abs like you when I grow up. Love you.”
Meanwhile, hiswife Elsa Pataky—who shares kids India, 13, and 11-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan, with the Avengers actor—was also sure to give her longtime love a special shoutout on his big day. She wrote alongside a montage of photos Aug. 11, “Happy birthday to my Rocky Balboa. You’re the best of the best.”
The Fast Five actress knows that being the best takes hard work, which is something she and Chris have put towards their 15-year marriage.
“You have to try to keep growing together, making sure that your paths carry on crossing,” Elsa, 49, told Hello! Magazine in April. “It’s about finding the fun, enjoying the little moments and remaining curious about each other. You have to be ready to adapt, and because there are situations that separate you, you need to know how to find each other again.”
