Dakota Johnson and Brother Jesse Johnson Make Rare Appearance for Materialists Screening 

The support didn’t stop there. After the Materialists screening, Jesse posted a photo of the rom-com film’s art poster—which sees Dakota posed next to her costars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal—on his Instagram Stories, adding, “dis good.”

Her brother’s praise only adds more anticipation to the film, as it comes nearly two years after she starred in her last rom-com, 2022’s Persuasion. 

The trio’s rare outing comes over a year after Dakota shared insight into their blended family. Last March, the TeaTime founder noted she and her siblings will always be in each other’s corner. 

“No matter how f—ed up it is, or who’s in rehab, or who’s not speaking to whom, or who’s divorcing whom, we’re family,” she told Bustle at the time. “And we are always going to be a family. It’s really real.”

Dakota also described most of her siblings as “artists,” and that she can relate to their vigor as creatives.

“In my adult life and my new family, most of us are artists,” she continued. “Even the kids, they’re extraordinarily talented people. So you just are dealing with complex people. You grow and you embrace and you say, ‘F–k you and f–k off,’ and then ‘I love you, come back.’”
