Indeed, the Baby Driver actress recently defended model Kaia Gerber and her boyfriend Lewis Pullman from claims they’re a “PR couple.”
In a Sept. 3 TikTok, a social media user cited Kaia and Lewis’ PDA-filled outing at the Venice Film Festival Sept. 1, while declaring, “there is absolutely no way these two are dating.”
“This is not real,” the TikToker said. “This is a PR couple. How do I know this? I just know this, I’ve called literally every other PR couple.”
Which led Eiza, 35, to step into the comment section to shut down the claims.
“The PR couple concept doesn’t exists!” she wrote. “It’s a made up thing from audience members who don’t want to believe a certain person they like is dating whoever that is. But let me tell you. It’s not real.”
According to Eiza, people who aren’t really into each other wouldn’t be as affectionate in a public forum.
“Everyone who dates each other THAT public IS dating because they want to,” Eiza—who is dating tennis pro Grigor Dimitrov—said. “No one forces you, no publicist ever tells you who to date. Non existing guys sorry.”
And as for her final thoughts on the relationship between Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s daughter and Bill Pullman’s son, Eiza added, “P.S. they’re so cute together.”
Kaia, 24, and Lewis, 34, were spotted for the first time together in January, weeks after her relationship with Austin Butler ended. For his part, the Top Gun: Maverick star’s last public relationship was with Rainey Qualley, the 36-year-old daughter of Andie MacDowell in 2022.
So far, while Kaia and Lewis have appeared in public multiple times since their romance began, they are keeping the details of their love story close to the chest. Indeed, Lewis played coy about the romance when asked about his support during the premiere of his latest film Thunderbolts*.
“No, I don’t have a date tonight,” Lewis told Entertainment Tonight in April. “My family’s my date.”
When asked by the reporter if “there’s a certain brunette we would’ve liked to see you bring along as a date,” Lewis cleverly dodged the question.
“Well, listen,” he said, “We’re all just lucky to be here on the carpet, hanging, looking forward to Thunderbolts*.”
