Emma Chamberlain is daring to bare at the Met Gala 2025.
The YouTuber put a sexy spin on the May 5 event’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, hitting the red carpet at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in a backless gown custom made by Courrèges to resemble a pinstripe suit. (Click here to see all the celebrity fashion.)
The revealing dress featured a lapel and a breast pocket—which Emma had tucked with a red pocket square—as well as buttons and a satin sash tie at the back. The 23-year-old paired the look with silver-framed glasses, sheer opera gloves, translucent tights and Stuart Weitzman pumps.
The outfit certainly followed the night’s “Tailored For You” dress code, which, according to The Met, was “purposefully designed to provide guidance and invite creative interpretation” in celebration of the fundraiser’s theme.
Centered around the 18th century looks investigated in Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, this year’s Met Gala was helmed by Anna Wintour, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams, with LeBron James serving as honorary chair.
As for Emma’s glam? The Chamberlain Coffee founder had her platinum blond pixie cut—which was crafted by colorist Anthony Vincent using Schwarzkopf Professional products—spiked up. After all, Emma recently said that she’s been really into “spooky vibes.”
“I really like it to be kind of like spiky and random,” she said in a Vogue video published on April 22. “There’s no rules.”
For makeup, celebrity makeup artist prepped her skin with Herbivore Botanicals products, before applying purple eyeshadow and a plum lip, which Emma prefers to be overlined. As the influencer noted in her Vogue video, “I don’t have lip filler, so I have to keep up somehow.”
“I haven’t done lip filler yet,” she continued, adding emphasis on the “‘yet’ because you never know.”
