Matt Warren is seriously smitten.
The Farmer Wants a Wife star packs on the PDA with hopeful Chelsi Davis in E! News’ steamy sneak peek at the Fox dating competition series’ May 8 episode.
During their solo date, the rancher and jewelry production professional reveal their true feelings for each other during a sweet, private moment.
“I like you, you know that,” Matt tells Chelsi in the preview before she replies, “I know. The whole thing just makes it harder with all the…I wish I didn’t have a mic on me.”
And when Chelsi wonders, “Are we still getting filmed?” Matt suggests, “Should we go up in this little arena box here?”
The California farmer and Dallas native then sneak off in an attempt to hide from the cameras, but they can be heard passionately kissing on their microphones.
Following the intimate moment—which marks Matt’s first kiss with a season three dater—he and Chelsi can’t hide their giddiness for each other.
When Chelsi jokes, “I’m pretending that never happened,” and equally overjoyed Matt responds, “I might pretend, but I’m still gonna be thinking about it.”
The 29-year-old then wipes Matt’s smiling mouth and notes, “You have lipstick all on your face,” before kissing him again, this time on camera.
The clip ends with Matt beaming from ear to ear saying, “Well worth it.”
The latest episode will be a pivotal one not just for Matt, but also for fellow season three farmers Jay Woods, John Sansone and Colton Hendricks.
All four will embark on their final solo dates of the season, facing the crucial decision of which two women will continue on their journey to love and which will return home. As they reflect on their connections, the farmers must determine who they envision a future with the most.
And while Matt’s pick might seem obvious from the preview, John has faced more hurdles this season. The 25-year-old recently spoke out after his dater Samantha Riehl abruptly left the Fox dating competition series mid-season.
“There were thoughts for all of them where I thought they could be ‘the one,'” John told People in an interview published May 1. “Most things come and go, and I think it was certainly confirmed when she left.”
Noting that there were “definitely some interesting turns” when it came to testing his chemistry with Samantha, John added, “It was quite an interesting ride. I thought she was like a challenge because I feel like she was testing my words. With everyone else, I was kind of asking them questions more about them.”
