Watch:Anne Burrell, Food Network Host, Dead at 55

Anne Burrellwas living her life to the fullest.

In the days leading up to her tragic death at the age of 55, the Food Network host shared glimpses into her life that complemented her bright personality.

In fact, five days prior to her passing, Anne—sporting her signature platinum blonde hair, a green floral top and sunglasses—posed for a selfie in the sun with New York City influencer The Green Lady, who wore all green, including her dyed hair.

“I ran into @greenladyofbrooklyn in my neighborhood today!!” the cookbook author wrote in the June 12 post. “I’m not going to lie- I have been keeping an eye out for her. I may or may not have followed her down the street for a minute. She is just lovely!!!”

Another post from that day featured Anne, chef Elizabeth Falkner and chef Franklin Becker enjoying dinner at Soho House in New York City on June 11.

“SUUUUUUPER yummy with a great group of people,” she captioned the snaps. “Thank you Chef for the invite and deliciousness!!”

But cooking wasn’t the only exciting activity Anne took part in. Earlier this month, she also invited her followers to attend her June 16 improv show with The Second City comedy school, describing the classes she had been taking in the Instagram post as “an ABSOLUTE blast.”

Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”

The Food Network also honored Anne’s legacy, adding in the statement, “Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent – teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss.”
