Aaron Goodwin is ready for a new chapter.
The Ghost Adventures star has filed for divorce from his wife Victoria Goodwin one week after she was arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill him.
Aaron’s complaint for divorce, which was obtained by People, was reportedly filed in Clark County, Nevada, on March 12—six days after Victoria’s arrest.
The 48-year-old cites the reason for divorce, per People, that the estranged couple’s “views, tastes, likes and dislikes” have become “incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony.”
The complaint adds, “There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife.”
According to People, in the complaint Aaron asks that neither party be awarded alimony, that his separate assets and debts be confirmed as his sole property and that he be paid back “his reasonable costs, expenses and attorney fees incurred herein.”
E! News has reached out to reps for Aaron and any legal representation for Victoria for comment but has not yet heard back.
Victoria was arrested on March 6 on felony charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder, per inmate records obtained by E! News from Clark County.
According to an arrest report obtained by E! News, police say Victoria was allegedly communicating with an inmate in a Florida prison about her marriage with Aaron.
“Am I a bad person?” she asked, per the docs. “Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
The documents further allege that Victoria shared information with the inmate about Aaron’s Ghost Adventures filming schedule, including location and timing, and that she set aside $11,515 to pay the alleged hitman. Police also say there were messages concerning an upfront payment of $2,500.
“He’s asleep right now in the hotel room,” police say Victoria messaged the hitman. “I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
The alleged murder plot transpired in October, however police only became aware of the plot, the docs state, after the Florida inmate’s phone was seized.
Authorities say Victoria has denied wanting her husband to be killed, instead claiming she was fantasizing about being without him, and that she didn’t remember sending the messages. She says she thought the messages about money were for a cell phone, though she admitted she and Aaron had been experiencing marital problems.
The Ghost Adventures star, for his part, previously told TMZ he thought his marriage was a happy one and is both blindsided and devastated by the alleged plot.
